SATURDAY, MAY 28th

GATES OPEN AT 10:00 AM



11:00 AM – 4:00 PM:

 Craft: Making Musical Instruments - Stop by our crafts table in the Cottage Garden to make a variety of simple instruments! Even the youngest of aspiring musicians can take part by visiting our coloring table. 

Tours of Westbury House and Gardens - Guided tours on the half-hour.

11:00 AM:

Music in Nature Tour - Flutists Jamie Scotto and Allison Bourquin present a selection of music inspired by nature, followed by a “listening tour” of the gardens.

12:00 PM:

Mozart for Children - Debbie Surowicz brings her award-winning program to the Festival. Works by Mozart and other composers, carefully selected for their appeal to children, are used as the basis for story telling, games, movement and song. Extensive use is made of hand puppets, small instruments and other musical props.



1:15 PM:

Instrument Petting Zoo - Learn about the musical instruments of the band and orchestra, including instrument history and playing demonstrations by members of the Potsdam Miniature Orchestra. 



2:00 PM:

MAIN STAGE CONCERT (See Program) 

3:30 PM:

Tubby the Tuba presented by the Potsdam Miniature Orchestra - The Potsdam Miniature Orchestra, featuring tubist Tim Eckstrum, performs the classic piece by Paul Tripp and George Kleinsinger. This narrated composition tells the story of a tuba who tires of his usual “oom-pah” parts and finds his own song to sing in the orchestra. This concert will also feature a selection of chamber works performed by Potsdam Miniature Orchestra members.

Introduction to Classical Music with THE KENDE TRIO
